ARTHOUSE'S ANONYMOUS EXHIBITION
INCLUDES FOUR BY VALERIE WALDEN
-- "Five by Seven" Show And Sale Scheduled May 15 --
Austin, TX, May 10, 2009 – Valerie Walden will be among the hundreds of recognized artists with strong
ties to Texas participating in Arthouse at the Jones Center's 10th annual Art Splurge & Exhibition.
The show has been one of the most successful and entertaining fundraisers in Austin, Texas.
All art work is donated. Each piece measures 5 x 7 inches and sells for $100. Each is presented only by
number. Only when patrons purchase the work of art, do they discover the creator. This format
encourages spirited identity speculation early in the evening, and brisk maneuvering when the actual sale
begins.
This is Ms. Walden's third year to participate. She commented, "It's all about art and it's a wonderful
time. I'm prohibited from revealing information that would allow my paintings to be identified in advance.
But, I can say that all four pieces follow a similar theme."
All proceeds from the event go to Arthouse's exhibitions and educational programs, which are always
free to the public. The exhibition and sale continues through May 31 during regular gallery hours.
