VALERIE WALDEN SELECTED FOR INCLUSION
IN TexARTS’ ARTFALL FINE ART SHOW & SALE

-- Juried Show Runs September 14-16 in Lakeway --

Austin, TX, September 1, 2007 – Valerie Walden is among 30+ artists chosen to participate in the
second annual ARTFALL show designed to showcase Capitol Lakes Region artists in and around the
Austin and Highland Lakes area. A team of arts jurors reviewed all entries and selected the final
participants in a variety of media including paintings, sculpture, wood, glass, metal stone and clay.

Ms. Walden commented, “I’m delighted to be part of ARTFALL. Selection by a jury is both a test and
a validation of creative vision and execution. This is the second juried show I’ve been in this year, so I
feel my art is getting a good reception from a knowledgeable community.” In April, Ms. Walden’s work
was featured in the month-long juried show, “Where the Wild Things Are” at the Lady Bird Johnson
Wild Flower Center.

The ARTFALL show takes place at the Lakeway Resort & Spa. There is a preview benefit event on
Friday, September 14 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm (donation to TexArts suggested). The event is open
Saturday, September 15, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Sunday, September 16, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Admission is free. Some of the selected art will be offered for sale, and many of the artists will be on
hand to discuss their work

Ms. Walden will attend the preview party and will be on-site much of the day on Saturday and Sunday.
