VALERIE WALDEN FEATURED IN
BARTON CREEK COUNTRY CLUB FINE ART SHOW

Austin, TX, April 3, 2008 – Valerie Walden will be among the artists presenting at the first fine art
exhibition comprised entirely of works by Barton Creek Country Club members. The event will
showcase fine art in oils, watercolors, pastels, drawings, photography, sculpture and mixed media.
Ms. Walden will be unveiling new work that marks her first series of oil paintings; complementing her
established talent in pastels and watercolors. She, along with other artists, will be on hand to discuss the
art on display. "It's always a pleasure to be able to explain and discuss your work. This promises to be an
excellent forum in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm looking forward to it.", Ms. Walden said.
The event will be held Thursday, April 24 in the Member's Clubhouse Library Lounge from 5:00 to
7:00 pm. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be available. The show is only open to Barton Creek

About Valerie Walden
Valerie Walden developed her talent with inspiration and guidance from artists and instructors at the
Austin Museum of Art, University of Texas and the Scottsdale Artists’ School. She works primarily
in pastels and in watercolor, but has occasionally been known to mix the two. Recently, she has begun
experimenting with oils. Her work draws heavily upon her interpretations and impressions of nature. She
is a member of the Austin Visual Arts Association, the Waterloo Watercolor Society, Austin Pastel
