VIN BISTRO RESTAURANT HOSTS TWO-MONTH EXHIBITION OF VALERIE WALDEN’S PAINTINGS
-- Summer Showcase Features Informal Meet-the-Artist Reception June 26 --
Austin, TX, June 1, 2008 – Valerie Walden’s artwork will be adorning the walls of Austin’s highly regarded Vin Bistro restaurant throughout the months of June and July. As many as 10 of her paintings will be on display at any given time. The featured work is comprised of original pastels and oils including new paintings from her “Silhouettes” series that will be exhibited for the first time.
Ms. Walden commented, “This is a wonderful opportunity to expose my work to a wider audience. The venue is lovely and the casual ambiance is conducive to an unhurried appreciation of the paintings and surroundings. It gives people a sense of how a particular painting might look and feel in their own home.”
On Thursday, June 26, Ms. Walden will be on hand to discuss her work from 5:00-7:30 PM in conjunction with Vin Bistro’s regular Happy Hour when wine by the glass and appetizers are offered at special prices. Additional artwork by Ms. Walden will be brought in for the informal reception. To RSVP for the event, just click on info@waldenart.com to send an e-mail. Please include your name and phone number.
Vin Bistro has long provided a showcase for local artists. Ms. Walden’s work is especially well suited to the warm and welcoming design of the restaurant. The exhibition runs from June 2 through July 28, 2008. To view see all the works on exhibit, please click here. All artwork subject to prior sale.
