Artist's Statement
I believe that art reflects emotion through the visual impact of the work. It
may be as subtle as the calm, cool effects of rocks and the serenity of
water; or the broader spectrum of feelings from color and gesture.

Whether I paint in watercolor, pastel or oil, I try
to capture the emotion of the person or scene. In
each piece I create, I hope to infuse some of the
tenor of what I felt when I was drawn to the
composition.
What is most important is what you feel when you
stand back and really look at the image. Can you
picture yourself in the scene, or are you watching
through a camera lens or a window?
